A multi vehicle collision on the M40 southbound is causing huge delays this morning. National Highways West Midlands has reported the incident on the M40 southbound between Junction 13 at Warwick and Junction 12 at Gaydon.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, it has warned that there are currently delays of up to 60 minutes. At the time of publication, traffic had been stopped.

"Delays are currently 60 minutes above normal travel time, thank you for your patience," the social media post reads.

Live traffic reporting website Inrix has said that there is queuing traffic. It details that there has been a 'multi-vehicle accident' from J13 A452 Banbury Road (Bishop's Tachbrook) to J12 B4451 Gaydon Road.

It warns that there is congestion to junction 15 - Warwick / Longbridge Island. "T
