DARTMOUTH — It had been about a year since Darcie the certified therapy dog made her rounds at Dartmouth's two public libraries , but as of Wednesday, Oct. 8, she was back at it again with a visit to the North Dartmouth branch on Cross Road.

But this time around, things are going to work differently, which is especially good news for local adults who could use some quality time with a very good girl.

"Previously, the theme was children reading to Darcie," said branch librarian Sharani Robins, noting those sessions were by appointment and age-restricted to kids only. "The reason why we’re doing it this way now, opening it up to all ages, is because adults used to come in and say, 'aw, well I want to see the therapy dog, too!'"
