Plymouth Argyle defender Brendan Galloway played the full game for Zimbabwe as they lost 1-0 to Lesotho in their final 2026 World Cup qualifying round game.

It completed a very disappointing campaign for the Warriors, who finished bottom of Group C in African qualification for the finals in the United States, Canada and Mexico next summer without winning any of their 10 matches.

Galloway had been an unused substitute in Zimbabwe's three previous World Cup qualifiers this season before starting the game against Lesotho, which was played in Polokwane, South Africa.

The 29-year-old was shown a yellow card towards the end of the second half before Lesotho scored their winning goal in the third of seven minutes added time.
