Thousands of Vodafone customers were left without access to the internet on Monday afternoon as the network suffered a major outage.

The outage began at around 2.50pm on Monday, October 13, with thousands of reports flooding in on Down Detector - a tool used by customers to report when they are experiencing technical issues - by 3pm.

By 3.45pm, there were more than 130,000 reports on Down Detector . The most common report (69%) flags an issue with landline internet, while 23% of the reports shows an issue with mobile internet. And then 8% of the reports are complaining of no signal.
