The Red Sox reached the playoffs for the first time since 2021, but their postseason run lasted all of three days after the club was eliminated by the Yankees in the Wild Card round.

Time to hand out some year-end grades.

Today we look at the infielders, who for better or worse played a sizable role in both getting the Red Sox to the playoffs and in the team’s ultimate defeat. For our purposes Ceddanne Rafaela and Nate Eaton will be considered outfielders even though both saw notable playing time in the infield, while Nick Sogard will be ranked with the infielders even though he occasionally played outfield.
