Union Minister Chirag Paswan assures support to Dalit IPS officer’s family, promises strict action

Chandigarh, October 14, 2025:Union Minister Chirag Paswan on Tuesday expressed deep concern over incidents of caste-based discrimination, calling them “extremely tragic” and unacceptable in a country known for unity and brotherhood.

Speaking on the reported harassment of an IPS officer, Paswan said that divisive forces were attempting to break the harmony among citizens.

“People in this nation have always lived together in peace, but some are trying to destroy that bond,” he said.The minister assured the bereaved family that every demand of theirs would be fulfilled.
