AUSTINTOWN The attorney representing former Austintown Trustee candidate Emily Ciccone has asked prosecutors to hand over police bodycam video and other evidence as she pursues a self-defense claim in her domestic violence case.
Ciccone, 29, is charged with first-degree misdemeanor domestic violence stemming from an alleged September 25 altercation with her husband, Mahoning County Clerk of Courts Michael Ciccone.
A pretrial hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Mahoning County Court for Ciccone, who pleaded not guilty to the charge. Her defense attorney, Frank Cassese, has filed a notice claiming self-defense.
Cassese has requested evidence from the prosecutor, including two 911 audio files and body-worn camera video from Austintown Police Department officers.
