New Delhi: Madagascar President Andry Rajoelina has left the country following massive youth protests. He is the latest leader to step down following protests by Gen Z, following those in Bangladesh and Nepal. Rajoelina reportedly left the country on a French military plane. In Madagascar, an island nation located off the east coast of Africa, youth took to the streets last month to protest electricity and water shortages and inflation. These protests turned violent in recent days. The president was forced to leave the country after intense protests and violence, particularly in the capital, Antananarivo.
