The common and not-so common horticulture happenings

At the conclusion of last week’s column, I suggested this week’s topics would evolve around the good, the bad, and the ugly. As I was getting some thoughts down on paper, the idea of the common and not-so common surfaced. And as you will see, this is the direction that I decided to follow.

Household Invaders

Fall is a time where homeowners are cursing the household invaders as they continue to take up residence, without any sort of rent payment in return. These six-legged invaders are using our heat; they should at least make a donation to the fund. But in all seriousness, certain insects seek shelter, and many times that shelter is our own shelter too.
