Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick is heading into his second season as the Lakers’ coach. Under his wings, the Lakers made the playoffs last season but again fell prey to the first-round exit.
Redick now has another challenge to overcome this season. LeBron James has been battling a sciatic injury on his right side and is now out for the beginning of the season. It left Redick to make crucial decisions about the team’s rotation and balance on the floor.
Despite this setback, Redick believes in the depth and balance of the Lakers’ roster. During a recent conversation with reporters, he offered an in-depth explanation of his thought process when determining the team’s starters, bench roles, and rotation structure.
“You want to put your five best players on the court as much as possi
