Joe Edwards could return to League One action for Plymouth Argyle for the first time in five weeks when they take on AFC Wimbledon at Home Park this Saturday.

The club captain, who celebrates his 35th birthday at the end of this month, has been suspended for the last three league games after he was sent-off during the 3-2 win away to Luton Town on September 13.

Edwards missed the the 1-0 home defeat by Peterborough United, the 4-0 win away to Burton Albion and the 1-1 draw at home to Wigan Athletic.

Now, as the Pilgrims prepare to resume their league campaign this weekend after a fortnight's break due to international call-ups for Brendan Galloway, Conor Hazard and Law McCabe, Edwards is available for selection again.
