The Highland Lakes Family Crisis Center’s Good Neighbor Thrift Store is joining the nationwide effort to raise awareness of domestic violence and show support for survivors on Purple Thursday, Oct. 16.

Everything in the store, 502 RR 1431 in Marble Falls, on Thursday will be 50 percent off, and customers who wear purple will be entered into a raffle to win a $25 gift card.

“Purple Thursday is about standing with (domestic violence) survivors and showing that our community cares,” said Janessa Hardaway, director of Community Impact & Development at the Crisis Center, in a media release announcing the event. “The Good Neighbor team has gone above and beyond to create a welcoming space that not only supports our programs, but also encourages kindness, awareness, and connection.”
