Federal investigators are expected on scene of the site of Monday morning's fatal plane crash on I-195 in Dartmouth that killed pilot Thomas Perkins and his wife Agatha Kirby Perkins of Rhode Island.
A three-mile stretch of both eastbound and westbound I-195 was closed most of the day yesterday after a small single-engine plane crashed near the Reed Road exit in Darmouth killing the Middletown couple about 8:15 a.m. Monday during a nor'easter.
As of Tuesday morning, the left eastbound lane of I-195 in the Reed Road area remains closed. As of 8 a.m., there was no sign of federal investigators, only state police are on scene.
