Donald Trump Jr. and other MAGA figures are crowing about a promise made last year by "The View" co-host and former White House aide Alyssa Farah Griffin.

Griffin pledged on air in December that she would don a red MAGA hat if then-president-elect Donald Trump succeeded in getting Hamas to free Israeli hostages, and the president's son and Republican lawmakers are challenging her to follow through on her promise, reported The Daily Beast.

“If he does good, if he gets the Israeli hostages out, I promise I will wear a MAGA hat for one day on the show and say, ‘Thank you for doing it!’" Griffin said at the time. "You have to be able to cheer for wins when they happen and then call out, relentlessly, the wrongdoing.”

Griffin, who served as Trump’s White House director of strategic communications for most of 2020 but has emerged as a conservative critic, on Monday praised the president, along with his son-in-law Jared Kushner and special envoy Steve Witkoff, for helping to broker a ceasefire in Gaza.

“If this peace deal holds, which I pray that it does, it’s historic, it’s a massive diplomatic achievement," Griffin said on "The View." "The whole world can breathe a sigh of relief. I used to be of the mind, ‘We don’t negotiate with terrorists,’ but sometimes the only way to get peace is to sit down with some of the most evil people and try to come up with what we can do to end the bloodshed.”

However, that wasn't good enough for the president's eldest son and other MAGA voices, who shared clips of Griffin promising to wear a "Make America Great Again" hat on the air.

“Sending this to the top," Trump Jr. posted on X. "Let’s go!”

“How about a ‘Trump was right about everything’ hat??” posted Trump’s official War Room account.

Multiple GOP lawmakers, including Reps. Mike Collins (R-GA) and Greg Steube (R-FL) and Sens. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Ted Cruz (R-TX), also chimed in and tagged Griffin's X handle.

“Feel free to borrow one of mine!” posted Steube, who shared a photo of his collection of autographed Trump hats.

Griffin hasn't commented on her pledge, but she did share a video clip of herself praising Trump for the ceasefire, and she made similar points during her other gig as a CNN commentator.

“The fact that President Trump has received such a significant outpouring of support-former President Bill Clinton, former President Barack Obama acknowledging this significant moment in history regardless of politics-I think we can all praise,” Griffin said Monday night on CNN. “I think that does put him on strong footing domestically.”
