Sentencing is expected to be handed down Tuesday for the 17-year-old boy convicted in last summer’s deadly Joppatowne High School shooting.
A Harford County jury found Jaylen Prince guilty of first-degree murder for the shooting death of 15-year-old Warren Grant in September 2024. The jury also found Prince guilty on firearms charges.

Police said Prince pulled out a gun from his backpack and shot Grant during a fight inside a school bathroom. Prince told the jury Grant was the aggressor.
Prince faces a life sentence plus 28 years.
