Is Mark Carney finally learning that it’s better to work with Donald Trump on the international stage than undermine him?

Carney took a hastily arranged flight to Egypt on Sunday to take part in the signing of the peace deal for Gaza. It was the first instance of Carney working with, rather than against, the American leader.

Canada had no role in the development of the peace plan or in convincing the other parties to sign onto it. Still, we were still given a place on the stage and the honour of signing the historic document.

Carney should take this moment to pivot from his anti-American stance to one of cooperation.
