HOUSTON (KIAH)-- In a press conference before sunrise Tuesday morning, Houston Mayor John Whitmire announced that 50 new solid waste trucks will be in Houston and ready for work by the end of October. He said that the trucks will be heavy duty to better pickup waste and illegal dumping.
Twenty trucks were on display this morning with 10 on the way from the manufacturer. The mayor said that this effort is to improve the quality of life for many Houstonians including its infrastructure.
