New Delhi: Veteran Indian para powerlifter Joby Mathew added another feat to his glorious career by clinching a prestigious bronze medal in the Para Powerlifting World Championships being held in Cairo, Egypt. Mathew claimed the bronze medal in the Legend (Masters) category after his first attempt of 147 kg was declared invalid.
Mathew took a challenge on himself after his first attempt was nullified and increased the weight by a kilogram to 148 kg. He then followed it up by executing it flawlessly and ended up grabbing the coveted bronze medal as the powerlifter finished third in the category.
