In a surprising move, the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) [CPI (ML)] withdrew the list of 18 candidates it had initially released for the upcoming elections, citing ongoing negotiations within the Mahagathbandhan.
Senior party leaders said the list was pulled back because discussions are still underway over a few other seats in the alliance, and a revised list including all constituencies will be released shortly.
