All lanes northbound of the Zilwaukee Bridge on Interstate 75 will reopen Tuesday, Oct. 14, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources announced.

"Drivers should expect intermittent lane, shoulder and ramp closures throughout the project area during the morning into early afternoon hours as crews remove barricades and install new pavement markings," MDOT said in a news release.

Law enforcement is expected to assist with traffic control as the road is reopened, the state agency said.

A $2.9 million project to conduct repairs was expected finish its second stage of preventive maintenance on Nov. 14. Construction got underway in April with I-75s southbound lanes closing. Later, the northbound lanes closed as the project moved ahead.
