Millions of people across Britain were cut off from their mobile phones and internet services on Monday afternoon (October 13) following a major Vodafone network failure . Some are demanding that the tech giant pay for the inconvenience caused by the massive problem.

The majority of customers had their devices restored to full use by Monday evening after several hours. But, hundreds of reports about landline and internet issues still continue to flood into Downdetector as of Tuesday afternoon (October 14).

During the height of the outage, more than 138,800 Vodafone customers reported that the network had collapsed on Monday. A Vodafone spokesperson acknowledged the substantial system failure
