SHREVEPORT, La. -- The recent passing of actress Diane Keaton has renewed appreciation for her remarkable range in both drama and comedy — and for the films that showcased her talent. One of those movies has a special tie to Shreveport.

In 2006 and 2007, Keaton starred in Mad Money , which was filmed in the Shreveport area and prominently featured the Louisiana State Exhibit Museum. The museum wasn’t playing itself, though — it stood in for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in the 2008 comedy-crime film that also starred Katie Holmes and Queen Latifah.

During production, cast, crew, and producers all spent time in Shreveport, transforming parts of the museum at 3015 Greenwood Rd. into the interior of a secure federal bank. Film crews blocked off walls, covered exhibits and
