WEST YORKSHIRE, ENGLAND -- Convicted pedophile Ian Watkins was killed Saturday in a prison in England, according to the BBC. Watkins, the former lead singer of the once popular rock band Lostprophets was serving a 29-year sentence for multiple sex crimes involving children.

Watkins, 48, was killed shortly before 9:30 a.m. local time when a fellow prisoner attacked him with a knife. According to the Associated Press, Watkins was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men have been arrested and appeared in court Monday in connection with the murder. The suspects have been identified as Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43.
