BLYTHE, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A complaint against the Blythe police chief has moved to the state level, according to election officials.

According to a letter submitted to the Richmond County Board of Elections, Blythe Police Chief Wes Stallings told two other police chiefs to not endorse Mayoral Candidate Edward LaJoie.

In the letter, LaJoie stated he had gotten endorsements from two police chiefs in different towns and had shared them to social media on Oct. 2 and Oct. 3.
