(WXIN/WTTV) — Johnson County Coroner Mike Pruitt has turned himself in to police and been booked into jail after a warrant was issued this week for his arrest.

FOX59/CBS4 crews witnessed Pruitt being walked into the Johnson County Sheriff's Office in handcuffs around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. He will now be held in jail without bond.

The arrest comes after a warrant was issued Tuesday morning, charging Pruitt with seven counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and seven counts of furnishing alcohol to a minor - all misdemeanor charges. Court records show he made an initial appearance last Friday.
