SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. — A suspect is in custody after a major standoff with Sandy Springs Police and SWAT, which led to an officer being shot.
In the update with reporters, Officer Greene said responding officers went to a home on Carroll Manor Drive after 11 a.m. for a call of someone discharging a firearm in the neighborhood.
When they arrived, they were "met with gunfire," he said. Officers returned fire, and an one officer who was grazed went to a hospital for treatment.
