Glaswegians will see their city on the big screen in cinemas next month as a Hollywood film shot in the city is released.

Several recognisable Glasgow landmarks will feature in The Running Man , starring Glen Powell, which was filmed in the city last year.

Trailers have been released for the blockbuster, set in a dystopian near-future USA. Glasgow locations shown in those trailers include Anderston, Blythswood Hill, lanes in the city centre , and a brief glimpse of the OVO Hydro.

The trailer opens on a narrow Glasgow city centre back street, Union Place, off Gordon Street, as Powell walks between the foreboding, towering and disjointed buildings.

The brutalist Anderston Centre provides an excellent backdrop for the dystopian film, a remake of the 80s hit starring Arnold Schwarz
