SEBRING ‒ Police say a 52-year-old man opened fire inside a local bar, missing his intended target and striking a woman in her shoulder.
Jose L. Cintron of Sebring faces felony counts of attempted murder, assault and improperly discharging a firearm inside a habitation, the arrest report said.
The shooting was reported at 12:05 a.m. Oct. 12 at the Oregon Pub, at 135 E. Oregon Ave., a block away from the police station. There were multiple 911 calls.
In his report, Sgt. Aaron Peterman said the suspect, later identified as Cintron, fled the tavern after allegedly firing a gun at another man during a dispute.
The bullet missed, and it struck the woman in her left shoulder, passing through it. Cintron and another woman − later identified as a relative − were seen running away from the tave
