Coronation Street's Millie Gibson shares 'special role' three years after ITV soap exit
Former Coronation Street star Millie Gibson has opened up about how her new role in a period drama came at a significant time in her life.
The actress, who also starred in Doctor Who , is set to appear in the upcoming six-part series, The Forsytes , based on the novels by John Galsworthy.
She will be sharing the screen with Home and Away's Joshua Orpin, One Day's Eleanor Tomlinson, This Life's Jack Davenport, and Downton Abbey 's Tuppence Middleton, as well as Francesca Annis, Jamie Flatters, Susan Hampshire and Danny Griffin.
In the late Victorian-era drama, Millie portrays the "ambitious wife" of Soames Forsyte (played by Joshua), who finds himself in a family feud with his cousin Jolyon (
