HENDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WEVV) — Authorities are at the scene of a railroad intersection in Robards, where a vehicle was hit by a train Tuesday morning.
Dispatch says the call came in just after 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in the area of Cherry Hill Road and Robards-Busby Station Road.
Our news crew at the scene saw the coroner's office arrive.
Officials with the Henderson County Sheriff's Office now tell us two people inside the vehicle died in the crash.
We're told the two people who died were a father and a son.
According to authorities, it appears the two were trying to beat the train when their vehicle was hit.
