ITV The Chase set to introduce mystery chaser Maverick and fans only have days to wait View 4 Images

The Chase fans are playing a guessing game after ITV shared a sneak peek at the show's new quizzer .

The show's spin-off - Beat The Chasers - looks set to welcome a fresh mystery Chaser, who will make their first appearance during the finale of the current series of the programme on October 19.

So far the new star's identity has not been revealed, other than the fact he is called Maverick. But the show has now dropped a teaser on Instagram, revealing someone in a hat and black suit covered with question marks, and with their face hidden behind a red and black mask.
