GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) - An arrest has been made in the 2023 death of a woman whose body was found in a Greenville County park.

According to the Greenville County Sheriff's Office, 57-year-old Janet Abrilz was found by a person walking on trails at Lakeside Park during the afternoon of August 27, 2023.

Deputies said Abrilz died from blunt force trauma sometime between August 24 and August 25 of that year.

Investigators said they were able to piece together the circumstances surrounding her death over the last two years.

The sheriff's office said they arrested a suspect Tuesday morning following a DNA match.

The suspect, identified as 49-year-old Robert Wilson Voorhees, has been charged with murder.
