Friends and neighbors of a Glenwood couple shot and killed in early August say the 71-year-old who pulled the trigger tormented their block for years.

Investigators said Brandon Oman, 38, and his wife Stevie Oman, 35, were shot and killed by Dennis Burnell on the evening of Aug. 6. That was moments before an explosion at Burnell's home.

But those neighbors say what investigators released wasn't enough. They spoke with KETV — KCCI's sister station in Omaha — for more than an hour last week.

The Omans are the reason the block is tight-knit today, they said.

But they say more should have been done about the Burnell incident.
