Glassboro officials are asking a federal court to silence a recent civil rights lawsuit on behalf of Rowan University students who fell afoul of Glassboro’s longstanding noise control ordinance.

The lawsuit, which aims to attract new plaintiffs and metastasize into class action litigation, was filed on behalf of 22 university students Aug. 27 in Gloucester County Superior Court in Woodbury.
