JACKSON, MI – A protest is planned in Jackson as a second round of demonstrations against President Donald Trump and his administration.

“No Kings” rallies are planned in 100 locations around Michigan for Saturday, Oct. 18, including in cities like Detroit, Lansing, Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids and even Jackson.

The Jackson protest will take place from noon to 2 p.m. at Withington Park, 400 W. Michigan Ave. The event will feature a march, several speakers and local community organizations, such as Voters Not Politicians and Rank MI Vote.

Protests on Oct. 18 will be the second large-scale demonstration under the No Kings banner. Thousands first gathered in Detroit, Lansing and other parts of the state for “No Kings” events in June .
