NORFOLK, Va. — A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 64 is causing major delays Tuesday afternoon in Norfolk.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, the crash happened near the Little Creek Road exit. Virginia State Police said the call came in at approximately 2:17 p.m.
Multiple people have been reported injured, according to state police.
An investigation revealed that the incident began when a Ford F-150 struck the back of a Hyundai Sonata, causing the Sonata to strike VDOT equipment head-on. It was then struck by a dump truck on the driver's side, which caused the Sonata to spin into a Toyota Camry before coming to a rest.
The westbound left shoulder, left lane, right lane, and right shoulder are all closed. Drivers should expect heavy congestion and use caution whil
