The historic Morris Hill Cemetery has been a part of the Boise bench for over 100 years, but it was not until this past weekend that all who laid there had been identified and recognized for their eligible military service.
This effort, which culminated on Saturday, was part of a three-year project spearheaded by Bose’s Pioneer Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) to get U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs-issued headstones for 77 eligible graves that had for decades gone unmarked.
In a dedication held at the cemetery’s Field of Honor 1— that was originally set aside in 1921 by the city of Boise for the veterans of the Great War — 36 graves of World War I veterans were dedicated, 33 of which
