Our weather here in Michigan has been much warmer than normal recently. Now a gradual weather pattern shift is showing up in the extended forecast.

Lower Michigan has been warmer than normal almost every day since September 9. You have probably gotten used to afternoon temperatures in the 70s. That degree of warmth is not average now. Our average high temperatures over the past 30 years are in the low-60s south and high-50s north.

I just want to set the stage for what is normal here in Michigan now. This will help us put the gradual weather change coming into perspective.

It looks like it will turn cooler, but still remain slightly warmer than normal.
