ATLANTIC CITY — “The Small administration is paving and behaving” was the message Mayor Marty Small Sr. shared as he announced the city secured $5.3 million to pave Pacific Avenue.
The announcement came two months after the city received $17.6 million to pave and synchronize traffic lights on Atlantic Avenue.
Funding for the Pacific Avenue paving project came from the New Jersey Department of Transportation and federal grants.
Paving is expected to begin later this fall once traffic light synchronization and underground work are completed, city Engineer Uzo Ahiarakwe said.
Originally, the city only secured funding to synchronize the lights and pave two to four blocks of Pacific.
