More than 1,000 Toledo Public School students took a peek at career paths open to them Tuesday.

Students including Start High School seniors Journey Harris, 17, and Aniya Woods, 17, walked from table to table, speaking with representatives of different companies, organizations, and colleges as part of the school system’s Next Step college and career fair in the event hall of the Glass City Center.

“Personally, I’m looking for cosmetology, construction jobs,” Journey said. “I really like the fire field, the police department, stuff like that.”

The Next Step program is a three-day fair that is the school system’s largest college and career event of the year.
