LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Amazon announced on Tuesday that it's hiring more than 2,500 people in Nevada to fill full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions.

"For many, seasonal roles are a first step. Each year, employees who start in temporary roles grow into full-time positions and advance into leadership as trainers, managers, or team leads," according to the Amazon news release.

Seasonal employees earn an average of $19 per hour, while regular full and part-time employees make around $23 an hour plus benefits.

“These jobs offer competitive pay, flexible schedules, and the opportunity to grow,” said Tareq Wafaie, manager of economic development policy at Amazon. “We are focused on expanding access to good jobs and helping more Nevadans build the future they want.”
