What was supposed to be a meetup, arranged through social media, turned into an armed carjacking Monday night, according to the Holly Hill Police Department.
HHPD officers responded to the 600 block of Center Avenue around 8:30 p.m.
The three victims told investigators they were approached by three armed suspects during the meeting.
The suspects held the victims at gunpoint while they stole their cash, cellphones and vehicle before taking off. The stolen vehicle was later found abandoned in the Daytona Beach area, the HHPD said.
According to police, no one was injured.
The investigation remains ongoing.
