A bizarre video has surfaced of former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, the current U.S. ambassador to Israel, playing bass before a crowd in Jerusalem.
Playing at a Sukkot concert organized by United Hatzalah, a volunteer ambulance service in Israel, Huckabee took the stage with former Ambassador David Friedman, on guitar, for a performance of “Sweet Home Yerushalayim,” a parody of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Sweet Home Alabama.”
Huckabee doesn’t appear to be very enthusiastic, glumly plucking on an admittedly nice Rickenbacker as Elon Gold, an alleged comedian, croaks out the lyrics.
“Torah scrolls keep on turning,” the song begins.
