Weed prices in Michigan rose in September -- for the first time in 14 months -- but sales cratered, Crain's Detroit Business reports.

The average price for an ounce of recreational marijuana rose to $63.16 — $1.37 higher than last month’s average, Crain's reports. That figure still remains the cheapest in the nation.

The low prices have historically buoyed sales, leading to month-over-month growth in the pounds of product sold. But in September, the sales volumes also dropped a historic 11.4%, showing not only has the market peaked, but slowed entirely.
