The developers behind the Point Grey development have won more time to amend their plans.
Hatch Pty Ltd had applied for a three-year extension on when it must have a structure plan for the 359ha site completed.
The Shire of Murray used the opportunity to ask the WA Planning Commission’s Statutory Planning Committee again to revoke the plan.
But committee members voted on October 8 to provide an 18-month extension after being told by planning officers the application related only to the extension, not the amended structure plan which was still being worked on.
The site in the southern rural part of the shire is surrounded on three sides by the Peel Inlet and Harvey Estuary, with the closest urban land being about 15km away in South Yunderup.
