JOHNSONVILLE, S.C. -- Johnsonville's last game was on Sept. 26 when the Flashes won 28-7 over Hannah-Pamplico. The Flashes don't play again until Oct. 17 at Green Sea Floyds.

What's a coach to do? Let's ask Johnsonville coach Ken Cribb.

"We try to get healthy and just work on fundamentals and stuff like that," said Cribb, whose sixth-ranked team is 5-1 overall and 2-0 in Region 6-A. "We just try improve on some things and stay as sharp as we can."

Among those injured are offensive lineman Brayden Baxley (hip).

Last week, Cribb said the Flashes took Monday and Tuesday off before resuming drills.

Meanwhile, QB Larkin Powell continues to shine behind center.

"Larkin has improved a lot," Cribb said.
