BELL COUNTY, Texas — Multiple Central Texas counties are under burn bans, with counties issuing or extending bans as dry weather continues.

The following is a list of counties in Central Texas currently under a burn ban:

Bell County

Bell County will remain under a burn ban after the Commissioner's Court voted to extend the ban at a meeting on Oct. 14. The County had issued a burn ban the week prior, which was scheduled to end on Oct. 14, but will now be extended through the Court's next meeting.

Hill County

Hill County has also issued a burn ban for unincorporated areas of the county. The ban will reportedly last for 30 days unless extended by the Commissioner's Court.
