A mum passed away just hours before her baby daughter following a home birth that went tragically wrong, an inquest has been told.

The heartbreaking events that have 'devastated' the family took place on June 3, 2024, at Jennifer and Rob Cahill's residence in Prestwich, during the home delivery of baby Agnes.

Jen, 34, lost her life the day after giving birth, and was never able to cuddle 'precious' Agnes, who survived for four days before she also sadly passed away. The reasons behind both Jen and Agnes's deaths have yet to be revealed at the inquest, taking place at Rochdale Coroner's Court.
