NHS staff at a north London GP clinic were left to clean up a ‘disgusting mess’ after a man smeared dog faeces on the surgery entrance.

Philip Blackmore, 67, took his anger out on the practice in Angel by throwing bottles into the car park.

He also used a bike lock so staff could not open the gates.

It is thought he targeted the surgery in retribution after his partner was let go.

Blackmore, who lives on Essex Road, Islington, pleaded guilty to four counts of criminal damage to Elizabeth Avenue General Practice, which serves 8,000 patients, earlier this month.

A practice source told Metro: ‘It was very distressing for staff, and we also had to clean up the disgusting mess he created every time.
