SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — A case involving a solider who was seriously injured by a suicide bomber in 2016 while serving in Afghanistan is headed to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Set for Nov. 3, the nation's highest court is set to hear Hencely v. Fluor. The case revolves around Effingham native Specialist Winston Hencely who was seriously injured by a bomb, his attorneys Andrew Bowen and Jim Bulter said.

The case alleges that Fluor Corportation, a defense contractor, did not supervise the bomber who reportedly built the bomb at his Fluor worksite while on the clock. He then reportedly left his worksite "without a required escort" and set the bomb off, injuring American service members on Bagram Air Force Base in Afghanistan.
